Introduction to EAGLE LSAR (3 days)

This course introduces students to the Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) solution for LMI, MIL-STD-1388-2B or DEF STAN 00-60. All of EAGLE's major "disciplines," or modules, are covered, as well as real-world lessons learned about LSA and EAGLE processing / techniques. The course is offered in Tucson, AZ or at a customer site. A workbook is included.

Prerequisites: Working knowledge of LMI, MIL-STD-1388-2B, DEF STAN 00-60 or GEIA-STD-0007 specifications is required. Familiarity with relational databases is recommended.



Advanced EAGLE LSAR (variable)

This course is adaptable to customer requirements and introduces students to advanced EAGLE features. Example topics include:

  • EAGLE database design and structure

  • Tailoring the EAGLE database and application

  • Advanced AdHoc queries

  • Advanced technical manual features

Prerequisites: Completion of the Introduction to EAGLE LSAR course, or six months practical experience using EAGLE LSAR.



EAGLE MMIS Training Course (2 days)

The purpose of this training course is to familiarize the student with how the Maintenance Management Information System is used to capture and utilize contractual data requirements in the depot repair process. Topics include Engineering Change Proposals, Lessons Learned, AsBuilt/AsMaintained Configuration Management, Inventory Management, Contracts, Document Management, Failure Reporting and Corrective Action, and Traveler/Workflow Management. These are all common functions in both Contract Logistics Support and Performance Based Logistics contracts used in the Aerospace and Defense industry and are vital components in process improvement, quality, and superior system readiness. This course also provides an overview on how the Logistics Support Analysis Control Number is used in EAGLE to model a hierarchical parts breakdown and how that breakdown is used in MMIS in the context of FRACAS and AsBuilt configuration management. The course is 16 hours in length and includes all training materials. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Introduction to EAGLE Publishing System (EPS) (4 days)

This course introduces students to the Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) Publishing System (EPS). EPS is a powerful, robust and intuitive software application used for the production of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) that comply with the ASD S1000D and MIL-STD-40051 specifications. The topics included in the core training are; ASD S1000D, structured XML authoring, creating projects, creating and validating data, workflow and roles, trilogiReview, exporting data as data modules and pdf documents. The training can be expanded to include trilogiBuild and trilogiView, generating IETM data sets and use of EAGLE LSAR data to generate procedural and Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) Modules. Follow-on consulting is offered to advise and assist programs plan and establish production projects including database creation, client installs, user accounts, Business Rule development etc.

Prerequisites: If the program intends to reuse EAGLE LSAR data to automatically generate technical manual data in EPS, a working knowledge of the EAGLE LSAR application is strongly recommended.
