Introduction to EAGLE (3.5 days)
|
This course introduces students to the Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) solution for LMI, MIL-STD-1388-2B or DEF STAN 00-60. All of EAGLE's major "disciplines," or modules, are covered, as well as real-world lessons learned about LSA and EAGLE processing / techniques. The course is offered in Tucson, AZ or at a customer site. A workbook is included. Prerequisites: Working knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2B or DEF STAN 00-60 specifications is required. Familiarity with relational databases is recommended. |
Advanced EAGLE (variable)
This course is adaptable to customer requirements and introduces students to advanced EAGLE features. Example topics include:
Prerequisites: Completion of the Introduction to EAGLE course, or six months practical experience using EAGLE. |
Transitioning to EAGLE 0007 (3 days)
This purpose of this course is to help make an existing EAGLE user's transition to the EAGLE 0007 application as rapid and convenient as possible. Topics include a short overview of the GEIA-STD-0007 Logistics Product Data Standard, data exchange between EAGLE and EAGLE 0007, material differences between GEIA-STD-0007 and previous logistics standards (such as MIL-STD-1388-2B and DEF STAN 00-60), project set up, data entry, import and export, data manipulation, reporting and transaction sets. Prerequisites: Completion of the Introduction to EAGLE course or six months experience using EAGLE. Recommended but not required: Familiarity with XML technologies including XML Tagging, XML Schema Definitions and XSL Transformations. |
Introduction to GEIA-STD-0007 Logistic Product Data (4.5 days)
This course introduces students to the GEIA-STD-0007 Logistic Product Data specification. This course will provide the student with an understanding of what the standard is and is not. Questions such as, how does the standard aid the acquisition support concepts such as the Integrated Defense Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Life Cycle Management Framework, Performance Based Logistics and ISO 10303 AP 239 Product Life Cycle Support will be addressed. This is a lecture class. Both the specification (GEIA-STD-0007) and the accompanying handbook (GEIA-HB-0007) will be provided. Prerequisites: None. |
ASD S1000D (2 days)
This course introduces students to the requirements of ASD S1000D and the EAGLE Logistics Toolset (ELT) solution to ASD S1000D requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of the Introduction to EAGLE course (4-day), or six months practical experience using EAGLE. Working knowledge of XML or SGML tagging is desirable. |
