Enhanced S1000D IPB System
Enhanced S1000D IPB System Installation To Begin: To install EAGLE 10.0 and EAGLE Publishing System 10.0, please run SETUP.EXE from the installation CD. If S1000D or MIL-STD-40051 SGML/XML editing is going to be performed using Arbortext Editor, Arbortext Editor be installed prior to installing EAGLE. OCX To manually register the OCX controls using REGSVR32.EXE, issue the following commands from the Directory EAGLE is installed into:
EAGLE Publishing System Installation EAGLE Publishing System is purchased as an add-on to EAGLE and needs a separate license to run. Users that do not have their own S1000D Data Module Viewer will want to install trilogiReview to be able to preview data modules from EAGLE Publishing System. The installation instructions will be included with the trilogiReview installation. ORACLE EAGLE runs on ORACLE version 10.2.0.4 and later versions. The ORACLE Open Client is a flexible interface that can access data from various types of database servers. ORACLE open client version 10.2.0.4 or later must be installed for use by the client machine. Tools > Options Settings EAGLE uses Windows Registry to store initialization parameters. If you do not have initialization parameters at run time the user is prompted to identify an existing “alp.ini file (previous method) or accept default parameters. Once you are in EAGLE, select "Options" under the “Tools” menu and update the Windows Registry initialization parameters. Sample Windows Registry initialization parameters for a 2B ELT system follows. For Def Stan 00-60 systems replace 2BO with 0060.

How to Setup a Generic Printer for Printing to a FileFor a Windows 7 Operating System:
Installing the EAGLE Technical Manual System Components - Required to Run the EAGLE Technical Manual System The EAGLE Technical Manual System has been replaced by the EAGLE Publishing System; however, some users still have manuals in the EAGLE "New" Technical Manual System that need to be supported so these instructions will remain for them. In addition, some users use technical manual stylesheets, especially for formatting RPSTLs and IPBs so they will also need these instructions. The MSXML4 4.0 installation package is available in the directory that EAGLE is installed in. This must be installed. To install run msxml.msi, for example: C:\Program Files\rsc\EAGLE 2B ELT\msxml.msi Load the XML Stylesheets. This only has to be run 1 time per database. To load, run the bat file; newtm.bat. This file is installed in your EAGLE directory, for example: "C:\Program Files\rsc\EAGLE 2B ELT\newtm.bat" [EAGLE password] [database server] If using the EAGLE New Technical Manual System, install the Epic Plug-in for the Artwork finder by unzipping the EAGLE_Epic_Install.zip file in the directory that EAGLE is installed in and following the directions in the Installing EAGLE Epic Plug-ins.doc file. NOTE: EAGLE 10.0 requires a minimum of Java 1.6 to be installed for the Technical Manual System. Java 1.4 may be installed from the following website: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download.html. Please contact the EAGLE help desk if you have any questions. How to Setup an SGML/XML Editor EAGLE and the EAGLE Publishing System support Arbortext Editor and FrameMaker for editing SGML/XML for work packages, data modules, and technical manuals. To setup an editor, associate file types of: “.XML”, “SGML’, and “SGM” with Arobortext Editor or FrameMaker. Many XML editing plug-ins have been created for Arbortext Editor so it is the recommended XML editor for use with the EAGLE Publishing System. Arbortext Editor 5.4 or greater is required for editing S1000D data modules in the EAGLE Publishing System. Refer to the instructions below for additional installation instructions for using Arbortext Editor or FrameMaker with EAGLE and the EAGLE Publishing System. Installing Arbortext Editor for use with EAGLE and the EAGLE Publishing System If using the EAGLE "New" Technical Manual System, refer to the "Installing the EAGLE Technical Manual System" Components Required to Run the EAGLE Technical Manual System” instructions above. The instructions below are for using EAGLE with S1000D SGML/XML editing or using the EAGLE Publishing System. Note: If using both the EAGLE Publishing System and the EAGLE New Technical Manual System, please contact the EAGLE Help Desk as both Arbortext Editor plug-ins cannot be installed at the same time. Arbortext Editor 5.4 or greater is required for editing S1000D data modules in the EAGLE Publishing System. The EAGLE install will copy files into the Arbortext Editor 5.4 default installation directory (C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor) and will automatically install the EAGLE plug-in for use with EAGLE and the EAGLE Publishing System. This plug-in is used to assist SGML/XML editing. If Arbortext Editor 5.4 is installed after the EAGLE install, the C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor directory and subdirectories will have to be deleted before Arbortext Editor 5.4 can be installed. In addition, the EAGLE plug-in install must be re-run after Arbortext Editor 5.4 is installed. The installer is the EPS_Plugin_Install.exe the EAGLE installation directory. Double-click on this file to install the EPS Plug-in. This installer will prompt for the Destination Folder where Arbortext Editor is installed. The default will be set to C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor. If an earlier version of Arbortext Editor is installed the EPS Plug-in installer, EPS_Plugin_Install.exe, in the EAGLE installation directory will have to be run. Double-click on this file to install the EPS Plug-in. This installer will prompt for the Destination Folder where Arbortext Editor is installed. The default will be set to C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor. The Destination Folder should be changed if it is not correct for the version of Arbortext Editor installed on the machine. For example, if Arbortext Editor 5.3 is installed, the default Arbortext Editor location would be C:\Program Files\Arbortext\Editor. The DTDs provided with EAGLE are compiled for Arbortext Editor 5.4. If you are using an earlier version of Arbortext Editor, you will be prompted to compile the DTD the first time it is accessed. Please compile the DTD. If you have any issues with compiling the DTD, please call the EAGLE Help Desk to send out the pre-compiled DTDs. Installing FrameMaker Editor for use with EAGLE and the EAGLE Publishing System Please contact the EAGLE Help Desk for instruction and setup files. For Further Information 1. EAGLE offers a support hot line (EAGLE Help Desk). The Team EAGLE support hot line phone number is: 1-520-663-6673 You will be asked to leave a message and a Team EAGLE support representative will call you back.
